Happy Birthday Johnny!

The blood of Christ!

After listening to this song you may have a strong  Holy Spirit inkling that you’ll see him again over yonder! The Spirit bears witness brother Cash (Romans 8.16).

Listen to this song and watch the screen as it unfolds a powerful pictographic album of Johnny’s life!

No More Bondage!

Johnny Cash (born J. R. Cash; February 26, 1932 - September 12, 2003)

Rejoice!

He did a crappy re-make of a Bob Marley classic and that makes you think you'll see him over yonder. I wouldn't be surprised if he was sent to the other yonder just for messing up one of the best songs written in the 20th century.

Why so harsh Mr. Anonymous,

I agree with you, Redemption Song is quite possibly the greatest song ever written by Mr. Marley. Go to http://tinysong.com/2XPl.

In fact, Redemption Song is everything most songs are really about. Cries for redemption! Songs of freedom! All they ever have! And Bob Marley's simple yet grand vision herein is everything therein. So why kill our prophets with such judgment! As Marley himself implored, “Won’t you help to sing, these songs…” Certainly, that was an invitation to Johnny Cash as well as Stevie Wonder.

"In a garden full of weeds," explained U2's Bono, Cash was "the oak tree."

Rejoice!

BTW: Redemption to Mr. Cash was provided for in the blood of his Redeemer. Listen to the first video carefully. One song won’t make an album but one Savior will redeem a life!

Well I have to admit that Cash's version is better than Mr DeVaughn's

Anonymous,

Thanks for the link… As much as I want all to join in on singing Redemption Songs, I concur that some (including Mr. DeVaughn's version) are very difficult to listen through.

Enjoy!
